The basic idea...

"The basic idea behind open source is very simple. When programmers on the Internet can read, redistribute, and modify the source for a piece of software, it evolves. People improve it, people adapt it, people fix bugs. And this can happen at a speed that, if one is used to the slow pace of conventional software development, seems astonishing...

* FlickIt!

market download FlickIt! is a family game of skill.

It combines aspects of shuffleboard, 9-ball and bumper pool into a unique new gameplay experience. Use your shooter puck to knock white targets into the holes for points. Like 9-ball, the lowest numbered target must be hit first.

FlickIt! is easy to learn, yet difficult to master. Just drag your finger to aim, tap and hold to increase power, and release to shoot. Be careful you don't overpower and miss the shot!

Challenge your friends to see who is the true FlickIt! master.

FlickIt! is completely free, with no ads or in-app purchases to interfere with your enjoyment of the game.

Features:
=> 3 different game tables
=> Single player challenge mode
=> Up to 4 players pass-and-play

Works on a wide variety of devices, but was designed to look and play the best on tablets - especially the 2013 Nexus 7.

For the developers out there, the source code for FlickIt is now available. It is a great place to get started with Android development using libGDX.
